I Automated My Entire YouTube Workflow with AI

The Claude Code system that runs my whole YouTube workflow, from research to packaging.

This one's a story, not a build-along - here's the write-up version.

What I built

A system that automates about 80% of my content pipeline - ideation, scripting, production, and distribution - around one agent: Axiom, my personal brand agent running on Claude Code. The net result: one long-form video becomes nine pieces of content across platforms, and the only parts I still touch are the parts that actually need me (talking to a camera, light edits).

How it works, stage by stage

Ideation → Notion. When an idea hits, I open Axiom and ramble for 2-3 minutes: "add a new YouTube video idea to my Notion dashboard, title it automating credit card expenses, difficulty medium, tags automation, and give me a couple prep tasks." It files the idea into my Notion video-ideas database with structure, tags, and prep tasks before recording. Speaking the idea beats typing it every time - the structure then lives on my left monitor while I film, so I never go off track.

Scripting. I talk through the video's structure with Claude and have it outline the key points. Not a word-for-word script - a skeleton that keeps me on rails.

Recording. The toolkit, in upgrade order: started on a FIFINE desk mic, ditched it because it picked up every keyboard and mouse click, moved to a DJI Mic Mini. Added an Insta360 webcam that shoots 4K (previous videos were the MacBook Air webcam through Loom at 1080p - rough). And Screen Studio for screen recording, which does the automatic zooms for tutorial content. Small, relatively cheap purchases that made everything look professional.

Distribution. Once I finish the edit in Screen Studio, I tell Axiom to upload the final video to Vizard AI. Vizard auto-clips the most engaging moments into three shorts with transcripts. I go in for small edits only - fixing "Claude" spelled as "Cloud" in captions, applying my template. Then I tell Axiom: "publish it on the other accounts, write a good title and SEO tags." It handles titles, descriptions, hashtags, and schedules everything out to YouTube Shorts, TikTok, and Instagram. When I open the scheduler and try to publish manually, it's already scheduled - I did nothing.

That's the loop: film one long-form → Vizard clips it into three shorts → Axiom titles, describes, and schedules across three platforms → nine pieces of content, zero manual scheduling. The whole point is consistency with no willpower involved.

What to steal

Why bother

Content is like real estate - the videos I make now only grow more valuable as the AI space grows. A few months ago everyone was making Make.com content; now it's Claude Code; in three months it might be something else. That's the point: making content on this stuff forces you to stay current. And the most valuable currency right now is creativity - coming up with ideas and articulating them well - because you're not the one executing anymore, the agents are. I work a full-time job, build an agency, and run this channel while still lifting, reading, and occasionally touching grass. It's possible because the friction - technical skill, time - disappeared the second Claude Code came out.

Stop waiting, stop watching the next tutorial. Just get out there and start building. It's more fun that way.
